About this micro-credential

This micro-credential certifies the learner’s ability to support the safe, efficient and environmentally responsible collection, movement and temporary storage of waste materials. It recognises the knowledge and practical understanding required to apply appropriate collection procedures, maintain waste segregation during transport, support traceability and contribute to efficient logistics throughout the waste management process.

 

The micro-credential focuses on Green Skills related to waste collection, handling, internal transport, temporary storage, logistics planning and environmentally responsible movement of waste streams. Learners develop the ability to follow workplace procedures, prevent cross-contamination during transport and contribute to maintaining efficient waste management operations.

 

Designed within the GreenVET4U project, this micro-credential supports the development of professionals capable of ensuring that waste materials are collected, transported and transferred safely while supporting environmental protection, operational efficiency and the principles of the circular economy.
