Develop, assess and certify Skills for Green Jobs
The GreenVET4U Competence Assessment WebApp supports learners, trainers and TVET providers in developing, assessing and recognising Skills for Green Jobs through innovative micro-credentials. Whether you want to obtain a recognised micro-credential or create your own, the platform provides a simple and reliable way to support competence-based learning in Work-Based Learning (WBL) environments.
The GreenVET4U Competence Assessment WebApp is an innovative digital platform designed to support the assessment, validation and certification of Skills for Green Jobs in Uganda.
The platform enables learners participating in Work-Based Learning (WBL) programmes to demonstrate the knowledge and competences required in different green economic sectors and, upon successful completion of an automated assessment, obtain a recognised micro-credential that certifies their achievement.
At the same time, trainers and TVET providers can contribute to expanding the GreenVET4U ecosystem by creating new micro-credentials tailored to the needs of their own training programmes and occupational sectors. After a quality review, approved micro-credentials become part of the GreenVET4U Micro-credentials Directory, making them available to learners across Uganda.
Initially, the platform includes pilot micro-credentials developed by the GreenVET4U Consortium in the fields of Hospitality, Tourism and Ecotourism and Waste Management and Circular Economy. Over time, the catalogue will continue to grow through contributions from TVET institutions, covering a wide range of sectors related to Skills for Green Jobs.
Browse the Micro-credentials Directory, complete online assessments and obtain recognised micro-credentials that certify your Skills for Green Jobs and support your professional development.
Design and submit new micro-credentials based on the needs of your learners, your training programmes and your occupational sector. Once approved, your micro-credentials become part of the GreenVET4U catalogue and can be used by learners throughout the TVET community.

GreenVET4U micro-credentials recognise practical knowledge and competences that are increasingly valued by employers supporting the green transition. They provide a flexible way to demonstrate Skills for Green Jobs, strengthen employability and encourage lifelong learning within Uganda’s TVET system.
Each micro-credential is linked to a specific vocational sector, describes the Green Skills it certifies, and is supported by an objective assessment process designed to ensure transparency, reliability and consistency.
As new micro-credentials are created by TVET providers and trainers, the platform will continue to evolve into an open and collaborative ecosystem supporting competence development across multiple green economic sectors.
