About this micro-credential

This micro-credential certifies the learner’s ability to apply health, safety and environmental protection practices during waste management and circular economy operations. It recognises the knowledge and practical understanding required to identify hazards, prevent accidents, minimise pollution risks and protect people, facilities and the environment while handling different waste streams.

The micro-credential focuses on Green Skills related to hazard identification, pollution prevention, safe waste handling, environmental protection and compliance with workplace health, safety and environmental procedures. Learners develop the ability to recognise potential risks, apply preventive measures, respond appropriately to incidents and contribute to maintaining safe and environmentally responsible waste management operations.

Designed within the GreenVET4U project, this micro-credential supports the development of professionals capable of protecting both people and the environment while contributing to sustainable waste management and the transition towards a circular economy.
